I’ll admit that this came at the absolute best time because I’ve recently been going down a sapphic summer high school spiral, which serves to make me feel almost uncomfortably introspective and really giddy at the same time. I’ve been dying to get my hands on this for at least half a year now and I definitely wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. This probably was probably my most anticipated 2020 release. My heart is just so incredibly warm and fuzzy right now- the perfect feeling when I’ve just finished an incredible contemporary. The only problem is that no plan in the way of feelings is foolproof, least of all when they’re recreating scenes straight out of movies of people falling in love. She can’t seem to resist, though, when she meets Ruby, so she hatches a deal to have the perfect romcom falling in love montage, and sets the rule for herself that nothing real can be involved in their relationship, which they plan to end when they part ways at the end of the summer, no strings attached, no heartbreak. Saoirse doesn’t believe in love, or at least she doesn’t have time for it and the heartbreak it inevitably brings in her life. The Falling In Love Montage by Ciara Smyth - My Rating: 5/5 stars

THE RECORD-BREAKING, #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER – OVER 35 MILLION COPIES SOLD The reason I’m calling is that I was just looking over this American Vampire story you’re working up as a comic series. I'm looking forward to reading the next volume a lot more than I thought I would be. I mean, vampires have oversaturated the culture for a while now, but this didn't suck.Īnyway. I think appreciated the idea of evolutionary vampires more this time around, to be honest. The early years tells how the American Vampire (Skinner Sweet) came to exist, and the later years tell how Pearl meets Skinner. It flashes back and forth between the late 1800's and the 1920's. I didn't know I was supposed to be reading anything groundbreaking, so I just sat back and enjoyed the story. If nothing else, I'm sure there's a romance writer out there that beat Snyder and King to the punch.Įven vampires that can walk in the sunlight. After I finished it and read the reviews, I believe I might have been disappointed if I'd thought I was going to get a 'new' take on vampires. I originally grabbed this randomly, so I wasn't expecting anything.good or bad. And I'm actually really glad I did! I think I may have enjoyed this more the second time around. I want to check out the rest of these, but it had been so long since I read this volume I figured a re-read was in order. |
